JOB SUMMARY:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: --Functions within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner/physician assistant role. --Functions as a client advocate. --Provides care that is nonjudgmental and sensitive to client needs. --Collaborates with other health care providers to achieve optimal health care outcome. --Identifies non-reproductive health problems and provides management or referral. --Provides health education and counseling in response to client needs. --Attains and maintains national certification through approved continuing education. --Attends staff divisional meetings and grand rounds as appropriate.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
The Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure. Requires one year of related experience. The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA. Pennsylvania certification as a Women's Health Ob/Gyn Nurse Practitioner preferred.
