Description
Responsible for gathering and analyzing clinical financial data to support decision making for all divisions of CSVRMC. Work closely with physicians, senior, and middle management to validate and analyze clinical financial data. Provide various monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external customers. These include dashboards, JCAHO audits, ERD, and preventable hospitalization data. Research delinquent data and clear rejects from bill hold. Support committees and special project teams including RAC and revenue cycle.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field required. (Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.) CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: RHIA or CCS required. SKILLS: Required: Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others. Strong creative analysis and problem solving skills. Strong computer skills. Must be able to work independently and follow established procedures, as well as designing, implementing, and documenting enhancements for current systems and processes. Knowledge of various coding systems including UB revenue codes, CPT/HCPCS codes and procedural terminology. Must possess a strong working knowledge of coding systems and meanings of DRG's, principle, and secondary diagnosis. Understanding of external payments systems, third party payor regulations, and compliance issues are required. Preferred: Strong understanding of Program Management concepts, cost accounting principles, feasibility analysis, pro forma preparation, and forecasting. Broad knowledge of hospital systems (billing, collections, General ledger, payroll, admitting, medical records, clinical operations, and other subsidiary systems). EXPERIENCE: 7 years related experience required. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Reimbursement Manager ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen A No contact with any body fluids. Office environment with many and conflicting deadlines. Must be able to maintain composure and manage multiple priorities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires knowledge of general safety standards. Extensive keyboard data manipulation using sound ergonomic principles. |
