The UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology is one of the most the advanced and respected cancer programs in the nation. As Principal Statistician of the Research unit, you’ll manage and develop the department's registry data abstraction tools and all other study data collection efforts. You will also support the development of statistical models, protocol design, and grant writing. The department’s staff and student workers will be under your supervision as well.
The right candidate will have a background in oncology and database management and the ability to build and design databases. You’ll have experience with advanced statistical techniques, research design, and relevant software including EPIC, Aria, SAS and Splus/R. You should also be able to conceptualize tables and graphs from raw data, and convey data through written manuscripts for scientific journals and medical collaborators.
