Arkansas Children's Northwest hospital is a new addition to the Arkansas Children's Health System, under construction in Springdale, Arkansas, scheduled to open in January 2018. This new 233,613 sq. ft. facility is located on a 37-acre campus right of I49 in the heart of vibrant Northwest Arkansas (see https://findingnwa.com/). It will have 24 inpatient beds, 30 Emergency Department treatment rooms, 5 operating rooms, and 30 outpatient specialty clinic rooms. The hospital will have imaging and diagnostic services, occupational and physical therapy, chapel with pastoral care, volunteer and child life services, playroom for patients and siblings, family house, cafeteria, and gift shop, and outdoor spaces with gardens and walking paths.
The Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer (VP/CNO) works closely with the Chief Administrator to execute the organization’s Mission, Vision, Strategic Plan, Budgets and Operating policies. The VP/CNO is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating patient care services, nursing and nursing practice on the Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW) campus.. This position requires a Master’s degree in nursing, 10 years of progressive nursing leadership, with 5 of those years in senior hospital management roles. An RN license is required, as well as a Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) certification or Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Executive-Advanced (NEA_BC) certification.
