Northeast Georgia Health System announces an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished group practice executive to serve as President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG). One of the largest multispecialty groups in North Georgia, representing Primary Care, Urgent Care and more than 20 medical specialties, NGPG’s 300 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners provide care at 85 clinics across 41 locations. NGPG maintains NCQA recognition for all of its eligible Primary Care locations.
Reporting to the Health System CEO, the NGPG President and CAO is responsible for the effective, high quality and efficient overall operation of all NGPG clinic-based practices. The President and CAO will develop and implement a strategic vision, facilitate long term planning, and maintain overall accountability for NGPG-wide operations and financial performance in alignment with Health System goals and strategy. The President and CAO will provide leadership to achieve targeted results in the areas of quality and service, operational performance, information technology advancements, clinical innovation, strategic expansion, physician engagement and integrated care delivery.
The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of experience as an executive leader in a large medical group or health system with a demonstrated track record of success in the ambulatory setting. Excellent physician relationship skills, outstanding conceptual and practical knowledge of clinically integrated systems, population management, medical homes and future reimbursement trends are required. Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement and Lean Processes is strongly preferred. An advanced degree in business or healthcare administration is required; FACHE certification is highly desirable.
Gainesville/Hall County is located just 50 miles north of Atlanta at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The region is home to numerous lakes, including Lake Lanier, with 607 miles of shoreline and is within a four to six hour drive of snow skiing and the Atlantic Ocean.
