| Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital (SHRH) is currently seeking a Vice President/Nurse Executive (NE) to provide leadership and management direction for a 192 bed licensed acute care hospital (average staffed beds 60-75). Nursing services include Emergency Care, Medical/Surgical Care, Intensive Care, General Surgery, Orthopedic Joint Program, Cardiovascular, Ambulatory Surgery/Endoscopy and Maternity/Newborn Nursery. The NE will serve as a member of the SHRH executive leadership team which also includes leaders from SHRH’s long term care division, home health and hospice, and medical group. SHRH’s primary service area consists of Halifax, Charlotte and Mecklenburg Counties, all located in Southern Virginia with a combined population of almost 80,000. SHRH is one of the region’s largest employers with 1,100 team members and an economic cornerstone of the area.|
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing AND a Master's Degree in Nursing, MHA, MBA or related field.
Experience: 10 years of nursing experience is required along with a minimum of 5 years executive or senior level management experience. Previous successful nursing leadership and management of clinical programs required. Demonstrated background in hospital operations required.
Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.
