Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Pediatric physician to join a full-spectrum practice located in Eagle, Idaho in the Boise metro area.
SAMG is a physician led and accountable 380+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a pediatrician who is committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and is willing to support a thriving pediatric medical group practice, as part of a dedicated pediatric program within a multispecialty medical group framework. This opportunity is perfect for the pediatrician who seeks a fast-paced clinical environment with the support of a large health system and well organized multispecialty group practice which includes 19 pediatric providers (16 pediatricians and 3 NPs/PAs) in the regional health system.
The schedule for this opportunity is a traditional clinic work week, Monday through Friday, no less than 32 hours scheduled patient contact time plus clinic call. Call is shared equally with other eligible members of the SARMC Department of Pediatrics. Inpatient care for one facility is covered by the group in a hybrid “hospitalist” model with an assignment of one week inpatient coverage, generally 1 in 9. Call is in connection with inpatient coverage week with a few additional nights only and is presently shared with 9 FAAP pediatricians.
Responsibilities for this opportunity include management of the pediatric health services patient. This involves direct management of the patient including, but not limited to, the following exams, procedures and services: annual and routine well child check exams, acute illness, inpatient services and injury care, et al. Collaboration with obstetricians in deliveries and subsequent neonatal care is expected although the scope of care does not include care of critically ill infants.
The provider will also ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. The qualified candidate must be passionate about pediatric health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem solving abilities.
The selected provider will have successfully completed an accredited Pediatric Residency program with Board Certification through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) or the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics (AOBP) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment). They will possess a full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases, a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy & DEA. The desirable candidate will also have prior pediatric practice healthcare experience in a clinic setting; this experience can be through a residency program.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) utilizes an electronic health record (EHR) in its clinics. Therefore, experience with an EHR system is desirable.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center – Boise, Idaho, is a 387 bed regional medical center serving people throughout the Northwest and is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary services.
