The Department of Health Policy and Management at the New York Medical College School of Health Sciences and Practice invites applications for two faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are looking for candidates with research and teaching interest in any areas of health policy and management (e.g., health service delivery, program and economic evaluation, health disparity, quality of care, patient safety, aging, long term care, injury, employee health, and global health).
Candidates will be expected to teach Masters and Doctoral level courses. Faculty with experience in mentoring doctoral students will be preferred. Candidates are expected to participate in research and scholarship, advise and mentor MPH and DrPH students, and provide service to the university and community.
Opportunities exist to collaborate with over 10 local health departments, nearby hospitals, numerous community-based organizations, faculty in our Centers of Excellence in Disability and Health, Long-term Care, Disaster Medicine, Children’s Environmental Health, and other academic departments in the Schools of Health Sciences and Practice and School of Medicine at New York Medical College.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in health policy and management or another related public health discipline. Candidates should have strong communication skills, experience working with community-based organizations and other stakeholders, a record of scholarly accomplishments, and will be expected to gradually develop an externally-funded research program.
