This position is located with the Division of Quality Management, Safety Management at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. The primary purpose of this position is for the development, implementation, management, evaluation, and revision of the medical facilities safety and occupational health programs, and assure such programs comply with criteria established by the Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and regulations promulgated under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA). Isolates and defines unknown conditions, develops plans of correction, and resolves critical problems. Efforts are directed toward the surveillance of the medical center to assure the safety and security of employees, patients, and visitors.
