The Public Health Program at Pacific University Oregon invites applications for a full-time position of Assistant Professor of Public Health starting in fall 2017.
PhD in a public health discipline required, candidates who also have an MPH preferred. Seeking candidates who can teach broadly in a generalist undergraduate Public Health curriculum. Teaching load is 20 credits (5 courses), which may include: epidemiology, community health, program evaluation, health care policy, and/or other courses in the candidate's areas of expertise.
The Public Health program at Pacific is an undergraduate-only program, located within the School of Social Sciences. The successful candidate will have experience or demonstrated promise in teaching at the undergraduate level and be prepared to work as an active partner in building our new and rapidly growing Public Health major. Candidates interested in working in an interdisciplinary environment preferred.
Pacific University is located in historic Forest Grove, Oregon, twenty-five miles west of Downtown Portland. The College of Arts and Sciences is a residential liberal arts campus that emphasizes small class sizes and student-centered learning. The Public Health program is an interdisciplinary major grounded in the social sciences.
