As one of the few departments in the country that fuses both exercise science and nutrition, and only one of four that places exercise science within a school of public health, the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences (EXNS) advances our understanding of ways that physical activity and nutrition impact human health, prevent disease, and promote wellness. Over the past eight years, EXNS has grown in enrollment, educational programs and research productivity. The department is vibrant and known for attracting and retaining students who are passionate about the contributions research of physical activity and nutrition has on wellness.
