The incumbent serves as a staff anesthesiologist within the Anesthesia Service under the Surgical Health Care Group. The VA uses the anesthesia care team model and supervision of our excellent CRNA staff is a required component of the position. The incumbent is responsible for providing anesthesiology services within the operating room suite and remote anesthesia coverage for other services including GI, Cath lab, IR, Pulmonary and the anesthesia pre-op clinic.Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for all assigned clinical, educational, and administrative duties and requirements. The incumbent is expected to promote and provide educational endeavors for residents and staff as well as participate in a variety of meetings. This position is a part-time position with a maximum of 35 hours per week.

NOTE: Salary will be prorated by hours worked. Experienceand accomplishments will help determine how the pay panel will make their recommendation to the Director.
Citizenship: United States
Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Licensure and Registration: Must have current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Language Proficiency: Physicians appointed to direct patient-care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by Title 38 U.S.C. 7402 and 7405(f).
