Providence is calling a Part-Time Registered Nurse (0.3 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to the Immediate Care Clinic in Sherwood, OR.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with a background in an urgent care, ER, or similar environment. The day to day responsibilities include triage, working on the desktop and phones, and mentoring other clinical staff as needed.
This position offers two 6-hour shifts per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00pm-6:00pm (0.3 FTE). While this position is not eligible for benefits, the clinic offers a stable schedule and an excellent collegial atmosphere.
In this position, you will:
- Be accountable for the direct and indirect quality care for patients according to the individualized needs of the patient.
- Follow the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to consistently provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
- Prove competence in analyzing patient data with an understanding of cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, and spiritual aspects.
- Accept professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.
- Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License to practice in the state of Oregon
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care area
- Emergency department or urgent care nursing experience
