The applicant should be doctorally prepared (e.g. PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD, DON, etc.) in the social, public health, medical, nursing, or behavioral sciences with applied rural health experience. The candidate would be expected to work with rural stakeholders to help grow the Center as a policy and research resource for rural providers and communities. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and/or continue an independent line of research as indicated by a strong record of publications and extramural funding (commensurate with their rank); and participate in teaching. We are seeking to expand our research programs focused on rural health research. As a community-based medical school, the FSU College of Medicine is particularly well suited for conducting research in primary care and community settings.
