RN - Professional Staff Peer Review Coordinator Peer review is one of the most respected activities in the circles of quality assurance and total quality management. A clear and transparent peer review process is an important component of ensuring consistent patient safety and quality care delivery. It is an essential part of credentialing and privileging in hospitals, ensuring that privileging decisions have an objective evidence-based process. Creating a clear and transparent peer review process is critical in helping generate a culture of caring and to the building of a trust relationship between the medical staff and the hospital. At D-H, we strive to create a process that is objective and structured in a fashion that ensures due process for those Members who come under review. We strive for a peer review process that is well designed, understood, accepted and adhered to by all and furthers the creation of a culture of accountability. The Professional Staff Peer Review Coordinator supports the D-H peer review process and coordinates system quality data collection and other resources to ensure best practices with respect to peer review and to track and trend provider performance.
