The North Central Division of LabCorp Diagnostics services patients and clients throughout a 9-state region, providing over 4,700 comprehensive diagnostic testing options. Come grow with us! We are seeking a Pathology Assistant/Grosser for our Pathology lab. This position will gross fresh tissue specimens in a high volume setting. Job duties include: - Preparing and grossing tissue specimens
- Performing dictation of samples
- Providing assistance in the interpretation of histologic specimens and technical advice upon request
- Overtime as needed
Requirements: - Normally a B.A./B.S. in Biology and meet all licensing requirements with 1-3 years of experience.
- Prior experience with grossing in a high volume setting strongly preferred.
Position also requires: - 60 semesters hours from an accredited institution which includes either:
- 1. 24 semesters hours of medical laboratory courses:
- 2. 24 semester hours of science courses that include:
- 6 semester hours of chemistry and,
- 6 semester hours of biology and,
- 12 semester hours of chemistry/biology/medical lab technology
Work Schedule: - Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm; Hours subject to change based on business need
