St. Luke's Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between St. Luke's Hospital and Kindred Healthcare is located three miles west of St. Luke's Hospital on the campus of Surrey Place. Our 35-bed, nearly 30,000 square-foot rehab hospital provides intensive inpatient rehabilitation programs and services to patients with severe illnesses and injuries, like stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurological disorders, amputation, spinal cord injury and other debilitating conditions. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive, efficient medical rehabilitation to persons with disabling conditions in order to provide them the opportunity to achieve the highest attainable level of functional improvement. Specialty programs include stroke rehabilitation, brain injury rehab, orthopedic physical therapy, and amputation treatment. As a Occupational Therapist you will: - Develop a specialized treatment plan for each patient to return to healthy well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
- Make presentations to support marketing efforts, at team conferences and in-services.
