The Public Health Department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time, 10 month tenure track teaching and directing position in the Masters of Public Health in Global Health program. Rank and Salary commensurate with experience. The selected candidate with have responsibilities in teaching, research, service and directing the MPH program. Included in the role are: - Teaching: The teaching load for a program director is four courses per academic year. Courses are taught at the graduate level in hybrid, or online formats.
- Research: All faculty are expected to have an active research agenda.
- Service: The program director will engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, school, campus, community, and professional organizations.
- Directorship: The director will provide leadership for the advancement of the program and daily operations (i.e. working with admissions and marketing, supporting adjunct professors, supervising support staff etc.). In addition, the director will focus on elevating the stature of/build on the reputation of the program to a premiere Global Health MPH program.
Required qualifications: - Doctorate degree
- College level teaching experience
- Experience in leadership position in an academic or professional setting
- Experience working in the Global Health field (i.e. research based, NGO, or Peace Corps)
Preferred qualifications: - Doctorate degree in Public Health or related Health Sciences field
- Teaching experience in a Master in Public Health or related Health Sciences field
- Active global health research agenda
- Experience with a CEPH (Council on Education for Public Health) accredited program
- Experience directing academic programs
