Health Management and Policy College of Public Health University of Iowa The University of Iowa, College of Public Health is accepting applications for a full-time Professor/Associate Professor and Program Director to direct the 8th in the nation Master in Health Administration (MHA) Program in the Department of Health Management and Policy. The Director will be appointed in the tenure-track (preferred) or clinical-track dependent upon qualifications and will report to the Department Head. Maintaining the strength and innovative spirit of the program, the MHA Program Director will:
Candidates must have a PhD, DrPH, DHA, DBA, or MD or equivalent degree in a related field and qualifications commensurate with an appointment as a tenure-track or clinical-track Associate or full Professor in our Department of Health Management and Policy. Successful tenure-track candidates must demonstrate academic experience in a health management and policy discipline relevant to public health; a record of research productivity, including extramural funding; teaching experience; leadership and administrative experience; evidence of collaborative efforts in the healthcare environment; a record of improving the health of the public; success or knowledge of effective strategies for working with and mentoring diverse faculty and students; and a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment. Successful clinical-track candidates must demonstrate practical experience in a health management and policy discipline relevant to public health; teaching experience; leadership and administrative experience; a record of improving the health of the public; success or knowledge of the effective strategies for working with and mentoring diverse populations; and a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment. Desirable qualities of the successful clinical-track candidate include a well-established research record. Further information about the Department can be found here.
