Tenet Resource Agency Patient Care Technician 20.00 hourly The TRA Patient Care Technician will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the TRA Patient Care Technician provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside report, performs phlebotomist duty, clerical/reception unit clerk duties as assigned, and assists in promoting an organized, efficient, smoothly functioning unit. Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives. Program requirements include: Employees must be willing to work across multiple Abrazo facilities to include Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, Arrowhead Campus, Central Campus, Scottsdale Campus, and the Abrazo West Campus, and Tenet facilities in their respective market. Employees are required to work a minimum of two (2) total shifts per month, one (1) weekend shift per month, and one (1) holiday per year, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent GED One year experience in acute care setting as nursing assistant, certified CNA. BLS � required
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills; high level of attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members. Knowledge of patient rights, medical terminology, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices. Ability to work under deadlines.
