GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs housekeeping and service duties necessary to maintain the Hospital in an orderly, safe, sanitary and attractive condition. Is primarily responsible for heavy floor care and other heavy housekeeping duties. Depending on assignment, performs any combination of the following:

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to read safety related and training materials including I.D. badge, fire reporting procedures/R.A.C.E., exit signs, job descriptions, area assignments/duty lists, Material Safety Data Sheets (M.S.D.S.), product labels, discharge cleaning reports, special precaution signs, incident reports, fire extinguisher signs, emergency telephone numbers.2. Up to one month of on-the-job training or experience. WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Exposure to dirt, dust, infectious waste, soiled linen, and cleaning fluids. 2. Some exposure to moderate injury from occasionally lifting and moving heavy furniture (see Physical Requirements). 3. Almost constant standing, bending, stooping, and walking and frequent lifting of moderate weights and/or pushing and pulling of mops, brooms and electric/battery-powered equipment.
