Position Description Responsible for coding, abstracting, and analysis of information from patient medical records for purposes of accurate patient billing; for disease, operation, and physician indices; and for the maintenance of a statistical patient database. This includes effective use of hospital encoding systems and resources. Education and/or Experience - High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- CCS or RHIT certification preferred
- Two (2) years experience assigning ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT codes in an acute care facility preferred
- Two (2) years experience with ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT coding preferred
*This is NOT an off-site position.
