Description
Your Role: Performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Assists physicians with general, therapeutic and advanced endoscopy procedures.
Your job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following when covering in three different areas of the GI Endoscopy Lab:
- Ensure all the equipment is ready, the room is clean and turned over and the supplies are present.
- Assist during the procedure with fluoroscopy (in advanced cases), performing fibroscans, obtaining biopsies, retrieving unexpected equipment needs
- Assist with patient care such as helping direct the scope by holding pressure on the abdomen or assisting in an emergency.
- Restocking the rooms, cleaning them after procedure, pre-cleaning the scope prior to being brought into the cleaning room.
- Assisting in the cleaning room, if the time is available.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences:
* 2-4 years of Radiologic Tech experience desired
* Endoscopy procedural physician assistance in addition to Fluoroscopy preferred
* Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (ARRT) Registered as a Radiologic Technologist
Shift Hours:
This position is Monday - Friday; Days. This is a PRN (as needed) position as business dictates.
