Supervises the work of assigned nursing personnel in the Emergency Department. Assists in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling nursing activities. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care to, and acting as a liaison with, patients and their representatives, physicians, and employees. Serves as a clinical resource for other nursing staff on the unit. Responsible for the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

Qualifications:

Education:

1. Bachelor�s Degree preferred.

2. South Carolina Nursing license or multi-state license from another compact state that is within the prescribed guidelines of the S.C. Nurse Practice Act.

Experience:

1. A minimum of two years� experience in area of expertise.

2. One year management experience as a full-time or relief Charge Nurse preferred.

Other Qualifications:

1. Current BLS

2. Current PALS

3. Current ACLS
