![]() Excellence Professor in Health Sciences University of California San Diego Excellence Search for Diverse Faculty in Health Sciences Initiative The Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/vchs/) is committed to academic, scientific, and clinical excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body invites applications for clinicians and researchers. This position represents an Excellence Search for Diverse Faculty in Health Sciences initiative which seeks to recruit early-career faculty to UC San Diego Health Sciences. This program seeks to build a more diverse faculty and aims to foster a diverse and inclusive community of scholars to enhance our academic and research missions. In addition to the highest standards of scholarship, teaching, and professional activity, the successful candidate(s) for this position will have potential or demonstrated contributions to a climate that supports equity, inclusion, and diversity. Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or PhD in Health Related fields. Candidates with an MD must be board certified/board eligible in their area of specialty. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must possess the academic and professional experience to qualify for an appointment in one of the School of Medicine's departments.
