Two Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor Positions Department of Health Policy and Management College of Public Health, University of Georgia The Department of Health Policy and Management (HPAM) invites applications for two tenure track faculty positions in health policy and/or management at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Successful candidates will have expertise in areas relating to health administration and management, health care financing, information systems, strategic planning, health services research, health policy, or leadership and have demonstrated a record of scholarly achievements. The new faculty member must demonstrate the potential for building and maintaining a productive, extramurally funded research program. Requirements include an earned academic or professional doctorate. The College of Public Health is actively engaged in community outreach activities. The HPAM Department is a strong supporter of this College mission and the successful candidate will support these activities. The new faculty members are expected to be actively involved in transmitting knowledge and educating the next generation of public health professionals. Instruction responsibilities may include instruction in a minor in health policy and management at the undergraduate level and courses for MHA, MPH and doctoral students. The Department will be developing a series of online courses, and interest and expertise in this arena is desired. The Department’s plans call for addressing public health challenges of the future, and the new faculty members will have the opportunity to participate in the continuing development of the HPAM program. The University of Georgia is located in Athens, Georgia, a college town with a rich quality of life and a low cost of living (http://www.visitathensga.com/media/athens-in-the-news/rankings/). Founded in 2005, the College of Public Health is located on the University of Georgia’s Health Sciences Campus. The College consists of four departments, Institute for Disaster Management, Institute for Gerontology and Center for Global Health.
