Faculty Positions in Epidemiology, Women’s Health, and Health Disparities The Department of Public Health at Purdue University invites nominations and applications for faculty positions in the areas of epidemiology, women’s health, and health disparities. These are tenured positions at the rank of associate or full professor with full academic year salary support, and available starting August 2021. Primary responsibilities of these positions include maintaining an active, independent research program and contribution to learning and engagement activities consistent with the tripartite mission of a land grant university. Other responsibilities include mentoring other faculty members and participation in department, school, and university-wide service. The candidate may teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses and is expected to contribute to graduate student mentorship.

Requirements and Application Instructions Applicants must have scholarly credentials commensurate with the rank of tenured Associate or Full Professor, including an earned doctorate in the areas of: epidemiology, women’s health, and health disparities or closely related field. Desirable attributes include a strong record of external funding and published research in high quality peer-reviewed journals, teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, mentoring graduate students, a history of successful interdisciplinary collaboration, and excellent communication skills. Confidential review of applications will begin on February 15, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled. Applications, submitted through Purdue University Careers, should include (1) a letter of interest, (2) a full curriculum vitae, (3) a research summary, which describes current activities and future goals, (4) a description of your teaching philosophy, (5) a diversity, equity and inclusion statement, and (6) contact information for three references.
