Electrophysiology Program Coordinator

Job Summary: The Electrophysiology Program Coordinator works under the supervision of the Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology, and is responsible for coordinating and providing specialized treatment and care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias who are undergoing invasive and non-invasive procedures, such as catheter ablations and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) as well as providing longitudinal care. Responsibilities include pre-procedural patient management and evaluation, procedural planning, and post-procedural care, daily rounds, and evaluation and management of CIEDs. Responsibilities: The Program Coordinator will assist and work collaboratively with the Section Chief to organize and harmonize all clinical and non-clinical activities of the Section with the overarching goals of improving patient care and growing the breadth and depth of the Section. These coordinating responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
The Electrophysiology (EP) Program Coordinator will be involved with all EP Program activities, including:
Qualifications/Requirements: Experience: 2+ years of Cardiovascular Medicine experience required. Electrophysiology experience preferred.
Education: Master's degree, required.
Licenses / Certifications: New York State Nurse Practitioner license and current registration certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner OR New York State Physician Assistant degree with current registration Other: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Special Requirements: Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic patient/family health problems.
