Job Summary

Job Duties

• Performs security dispatching and monitoring services for the Security Services Department.
• Coordinates and answers security calls and inquiries; advises and answers questions about policies and procedures; makes referrals as appropriate.
• Answers the telephone for Security Services Department.
• Dispatches security resources to meet calls for service needs.
• Handles walk in customer issues at the Security Office.
• Redirects individuals to appropriate resources.
• Maintains confidentiality of all department matters.
• Maintains detailed reports and logs of services provided.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
• Alerts key staff to priority events in a timely emergent manner.
• Works independently with limited supervision.
• Operates office equipment; fax machine, security radio system, telephone, copier, and personal computer.
• Monitors and operates employee ID badge and access control assignment and control systems.
• Monitors and operates security camera and monitoring system.
• Monitors and operates fire and security alarm systems.
• Works effectively as a team member of the Security Services Department to meet the needs of the customer.
• Maintains continual coverage of the monitoring station.
• Vacates station only upon proper authorized relief.
