Interpreter - Interpretive Services
Interpreter - Interpretive Services SUMMARY: This position is accountable to provide interpretation for patients, families and clinical staff. They must possess a full command (verbal and written) of the English language as well as the language they will use in their interpreter encounters, e.g. Spanish, Hmong, Lao, etc. The interpreter acts as advocate, culture broker, clarifier, and conduit for Limited English Proficient (LEP) persons. Interpreters may be asked to clarify written consents and hospital forms, and advocate for the LEP regarding cultural differences. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED. Minimum 18 months Interpreter or equivalent experience utilizing interpreter skills required. Minimum six (6) months health care setting and/or
