We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.
This operating room (OR RN) nursing position will be working 56 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evening/night shift, 8 hour shifts and rotating weekends.In house call and off premise call is required. The position is eligible for benefits including loan repayment.
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Demonstrates the ability to establish an environment of safety for the surgical patient
Demonstrates the ability to assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological stability of the surgical patient.
May serve as a circulator or scrub during operative procedures. Demonstrates knowledge about the psychologic, sociologic, and spiritual responses of patients and their families to the operative or other invasive procedure.
Supports patients rights and ethics by delivering consistent, competent, and ethical care, within legal standards of practice, while maintaining privacy and support of the patients value system
Demonstrates knowledge of the health system environment and administrative issues that impact job performance, patient safety, and ethical considerations.
MN RN license
Minimum of 1 year OR experience, or completion of an approved Periop 101 program, or 2 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist
