Responsible for set up, computer analysis, troubleshooting Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) equipment and willing to learn and prepare for the Registered Polysomnograpy or Sleep Disorder Specialist exam. Serves as a liaison between all departments and meets all the domains of practice as outlined in the Polysomnographic Technologist job description. The incumbent will work in the Sleep Lab/Pulmonary Services Section, Medical Service, and New Mexico VA Health Care System. Responsible for providing direct, safe, appropriate and effective sleep testing and care to patients in accordance with patient needs, current standards of sleep medicine practice, physician's orders and organizational policies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
