Medical Technologist
A Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS) develops, performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. Testing procedures are performed on a variety of biological specimens and/or environmental samples using manual or automated techniques and require a broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision. The Medical Technologist (Chemistry) generally is assigned to a particular subsection of the section (i.e., bacteriology, mycobacteriology/mycology/ parasitology, immunology/serology, special chemistry, or molecular microbiology) where he/she may be (with the exception of the bacteriology laboratory) the primary or sole individual operating that subsection on most work d
