This position is to perform a wide variety of food service operational tasks. This includes the preparation of individual, bulk nourishments and special feedings for patients; preparing food items following established recipes; working cold assembly or hot station; processing diet information from Computrition and VistA patient software to ensure tray tickets are accurate; cleans, stores, and maintains all kitchen utensils; cleans and maintains all equipment and work areas after each use. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing, such as all forms of hot cereal, pancakes, French toast, sausage, hamburgers, liver, bacon or eggs to order.
