Food Service Worker
The Food Service Worker serves at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. Duties of the Food Service Worker include, but not limited to: Prepare selected menu items such as; grilled, fried, rethermed, steam foods, hot cereals, gelatin, vegetable salads, and pureed desserts; Peel, chop, grind, pare, cut, slice with a knife, dice, and puree items; May be assigned to food production, performing functions such as dicing, pureeing, panning meats/potatoes, and/or grilling items. Use portion control scales, measuring devices, and thermometers; Determines quantities of ingredients needed to prepare required yields; Deliver food trays to patients' bedside from enclosed food tray delivery cart according to ward, room, bed, and patient's name; Follow standardized recipes and combine ingredients for sele
