Fairview Health Services is looking for a Service and Product Assistant at Fairview Hospital inBurnsville, MN. The schedulefor this position is first pay period: Monday & Friday day shift and E/O weekend day shift for 4 hours. Second Pay period: Monday day shift, Thursday evening shift and E/O Weekend day shift.
The Service and Product Assistant (SPA) is responsible for receipt, shipment, delivery, replenishment, cleaning, and maintenance or appropriate equipment, supplies,and forms.
Receive, deliver, replenish, clean and maintain supplies/equipment/formsincluding:stat room, patient rooms, inventory locations, and other areas, as appropriate.
Assist with maintaining adequate inventory levels of equipment and supplies.
Understanding ofinventory control concepts with the ability to calculate par levels and adjust levels as necessary.
Coordinate the delivery of items arriving at the dock; assemble apply/remove properly tag/transmitter, and log into computer.
Assure that excess inventory in totes is accounted for, documented, and properly routed.
Perform gross decontamination of instruments, clean, rinse, and properly route utensils.
Decontaminate and clean patient care equipment such as, but not limited to: IV pumps' sequential compression devices; syringe pumps' warmers; respiratory care equipment; blood pressure apparatus' walkers' commodes orthopedic apparatus; case carts etc.
Decontaminate and clean laboratory glassware; general laboratory waste; etc.
Answer telephones as needed.
Other duties as requested and required
6 monthscomparablematerials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels.
Independent use of computers including data entry
1+ years of comparable experience. Vocational or Technical Training, Associates Degree.
