JOB SUMMARYThe Nurse Technician, under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), provides care and procedures to neonatal, pediatric, adult or geriatric patients. This position reports and documents observations, assists with procedures, and performs other unit-support activities as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEPerforms tasks which are most commonly delegated by an RN and may include: non-invasive and non-sterile treatments; collecting, reporting, and documenting of data (e.g., vital signs, height, weight, intake and output, blood glucose monitoring via fingerstick blood samples, test strips and portable meters; urine test for sugar and hematest results, environmental situations, patient or family comments relating to the patient's
