This position is largely involved in clinical service in the specialty of hematology, primarily with regard to the care of individuals with sickle cell disease in the Georgia Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center at Grady Health System. We expect you to be an active participant in the growth and development of the sickle cell program as it becomes a leader in the field. Also, we expect you to participate actively in the classical hematology clinic at Emory University Hospital Midtown. Your participation in both these programs will involve professional patient care services, collaboration with program leaders and colleagues, attendance at various departmental and national meetings, and also education and clinical investigation as appropriate, necessary, and practical.
