Description: The Neighborhood Social & Geospatial Determinants of Health Disparities Lab seeks 1-2 full-time postdoctoral fellows. Under the direction of Dr. Kosuke Tamura, the lab is housed in the Division of Intramural Research at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, NIH. We invite candidates interested in the social and environmental epidemiology of cardiovascular health risks such as physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and diet. Dr. Tamura has an extensive work history applying geospatial methods (geographic information systems and global positioning systems) to investigate exposures related to neighborhood contexts and health behaviors, focusing on neighborhood social and built (physical) environments.
