Job Summary
Responsible for the architectural design and documentation of systems. Utilize established principles, standards, and designs to deliver holistic solutions to customers, whether IT or the business. Serving as part of a solution development team the architect will translate business and functional requirements into technology-based solutions.
Job Duties
- Acts as the liaison between IT and business to understand needs, design solution architectures, and contribute to strategies.
- Provides feedback as part of continuous improvement to the Enterprise Architects around principles, standards, and overall technology strategies.
- Ensures enterprise architecture standards and guidelines are adhered to as part of a solution and system design and selection process.
- Identify any deficiencies and possible mitigations to close gaps.
- Reviews vendor and supplier proposals and provide guidance and recommendations.
- Provide architectural guidance to the project team.
- Work on small to medium sized projects with limited supervision and oversight.
- Render consulting and technical support services on project implementation to the project team.
- Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT professionals.
- Keep accurate record of materials used, expected deliverables, and milestones achieved.
- Guide the activities of the solution architecture unit to ensure timely completion of projects.
