Major duties include but are not limited to the following: Selects and places food items on patient trays on the tray assembly line according to meal tickets or select menus; Work on the starter station, coffee/ soup/cereal, and loader station; Sets up food service stations in the dining room with hot and cold foods and utilizes proper serving utensils for serving; Makes coffee by automatic dispenser, according to the number of servings desired; Serves food cafeteria style by placing portions on plates; Delivers trays and nourishments to patient beds; Preforms other duties as assigned Breaks down and cleans assigned work areas when meals are finished and returns unused foods upon completion of meal. Keeps the work area in a neat and sanitary condition, and properly cleans and stores tools and equipment at the end of the tour.
