The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Zeph/Dade City
The role you’ll contribute: The Clinical Educator provides education for all hospital employees with a focus on clinical staff. Also provides educational support for some non-clinical staff. They recognize and communicate with directors, managers, staff, physicians and administration to provide the education necessary to maintain The Joint Commission accreditation and other industry standards for the hospitals condition. They respond timely to educational needs in a variety of teaching methods that include: lecture, online learning, group discussion and direct observation. They are responsible for coordinating and prioritizing activities in the education in conjunction with the education director. They work collaboratively with colleagues and nursing leadership to ensure that safe, quality care is delivered in a learning environment that fosters a world-class patient experience.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Provides orientation, in-services, continuing education and real-time training in primary service line.
- Teaches classes, provides individual instruction, assigns in-services ideas to staff members to develop and teach using adult learning theory.
- Coordinates general orientation; mentors preceptors and evaluates process.
- Assists with evaluating and documenting staff performance of clinical skills.
- Interacts professionally with each nursing unit to determine their specific educational needs and to coordinate educational programs to meet those needs.
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- ASN
- Minimum 3 years of Clinical Hospital Experience
- Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS
- BLS Instructor Certification within first year
- ACLS
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s in a Related Healthcare Field
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education Preferred
- Clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Electronic Medical Record Experience
