SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Under general supervision, nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies by job setting. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Associates Degree in Nursing Required. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. 

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment required. 

One year of post-graduate nursing experience within the past two years. 

Basic Life Support (BLS) required. 

Neonatal resuscitation Provider (NRP) required or must be able to obtained in six months. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S): 

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in nursing preferred. 

Fetal monitoring experience preferred. 

Experience circulating in operating room preferred.
