The Department of Infectious Disease and Microbiology (IDM), Pitt Public Health, University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a full-time position at the level of Research Assistant Professor outside of the tenure stream. The position requires a doctoral degree in health sciences (e.g., MD, DrPH, PhD).  This position will be centered in the HIV Prevention and Care Project, a longstanding collaboration between the University of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of HIV Disease. Experience demonstrating a trans-disciplinary background integrating quantitative and qualitative methods, stakeholder-engaged and health promotion research, and intervention development related to HIV prevention and care is preferred. The successful candidate will direct ongoing projects developing and piloting an intersectional stigma reduction intervention in HIV-related healthcare and community settings and a harm reduction pilot for people living with HIV. Responsive applications for this position will show demonstrated successful public health and multi-disciplinary experience, including publications and presentations related to HIV prevention and care. Preference will be given for applications from candidates with substantial experience directing federally-funded HIV prevention demonstration projects in collaboration with state health departments. The successful candidate will also be expected to supervise staff and mentor graduate students in the Department.
