DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITION: Celebrate and represent the stories of Cincinnati Children's to enhance our reputation. Support cross-functional, often complex video projects; works as a member of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, video production or related field OR equivalent work experience
2-5 years of experience
Portfolio: must show examples of work relevant to the position, be able to explain rationale and role in project.
Conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures of videography, editing
Receives instruction, guidance or direction from more senior level roles
Accomplishes straightforward, relatively simple tasks using existing procedures

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Customer service: Observe senior creative services team member interactions with internal clients. Assist senior creative team members in producing assigned video, editing. Complete small scope assigned projects. Take creative direction from senior team members and evolve feedback into final product. With advice and guidance of senior staff, successfully integrate client input without compromising design, tone of voice or brand consistency. Learn how to appropriately work with external vendors. Learn and use our project management systems and asset library. Assist senior team members in bringing assigned projects to completion in specified time period.

Willingness to develop a working knowledge of HIPAA rules and hospital requirements for patient/family consent.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production: Learn brand guidelines for all mediums (digital, print, promotional, environmental, editorial). Assist in the creation of projects appropriate to the position such as video, print and digital design, or copywriting. Assist senior Creative Services staff on enterprise-wide conceptual projects, campaigns or other large initiatives as assigned.
Videography
Responsible for supporting video staff with all aspects of the video production process from pre-production planning, field production, post-production, and distribution. This person must be familiar with Canon Cinema products or similar professional cameras. The person must have experience with lighting, sound recording, field production, interviewing skills, and have storytelling ability. You may work on a project by yourself, or as a part of a larger team. Proficient video editing skills will also be a necessity as you will be responsible for video editing as a part of this position. Must be deadline-oriented and able to manage time and priorities and juggle multiple projects. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere/After Effects (or similar editing software), Photoshop, Microsoft Office is necessary for this position. Knowledge of and willingness to learn new equipment, software, and online programs is essential.
SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Responsible for designing and creating graphics, art, and video for use in a variety of internal and external publications.
