DescriptionSummary:Labor and Delivery is 10 bed LDR unit with an additional 4 bed Ante Partum unit that services high risk pregnant patients. Designated as a Level III service provider we care for patients with higher risk conditions and have a Level III NICU on site. The services in L&D are growing and as we add an OB ED with an OB Hospitalist, we see the services growing even more. Within the department, we have 3 operating rooms. The nurses provide their own C-section coverage being highly trained and competent. This facility participates in the Louisiana Perinatal Quality Initiative to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality in Louisiana.
