The ED Clinical Coordinator reports directly to the Manager and Director of the Emergency Department. The position is responsible for managing assignments, materials and projects as specified by the Administration of the Emergency Department. Occasionally he/she will be expected to support other projects or assignments not directly related to his/her assigned departments. Complies and reports a variety of statistics. The position is also responsible for providing input for annual evaluation, orienting and training of new staff, assisting with job descriptions and maintaining the quality and quantity of work completed by the staff. The ER Clinical Coordinator is responsible for promoting the positive image of the facility by effectively communicating and interacting with staff, physicians, patients, families and the community. Reports to ED Manager and overseen by the Admin Director of Nursing ER and Acute Care Services.
Qualifications:Current CA. RN license. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate emergent, urgent, and non-urgent care to all persons who present to the ED for evaluation and treatment. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions. Must speak, read and write English.
- One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Current CA RN license required.
- American Heart Association ACLS, BLS/CPR, PALS required.
- Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months of hire.
- Membership in the Emergency Nurses Association encouraged.
