Our Telemetry unit sees a variety of cases to include post cath, acute cardiac, CHF, and stroke.  We always focus on putting our patients first, which is evident through our hourly rounding, bedside reports, and manageable nurse-to-patient ratios.  We are proud to be an accredited Chest Pain Center & Cardiovascular Center of Excellence, a Primary Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center.

Your day.

As a Shift Specialty Coordinator / Charge RN in Tele you need to know how to:

·        Evaluate health status through the collection and assessment of health data.

·        Perform health teaching and health counseling

·        Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.

·        Execute delegated medical functions.

·        Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.

·        Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.

·        Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.

·        Serve as role model, mentor, and supervisor of staff (as identified by manager).

·        Trouble shoot patient and unit/department problems.

·        Assure appropriate staff assignments and schedules and seek resources as needed.

·        Participate in a leadership role in performance improvement activities, new initiatives, and other unit functions.

·        Participate with the manager in interviewing, hiring, and employee evaluation.

·        Seek to identify and implement methods to improve financial outcomes.

·        Communicate pertinent issues with manager, house supervisors, and physicians.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

·        ASN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within 4 years of your hire, required

·        Current Colorado RN license or eligibility to obtain, required

·        Current BLS and ACLS certifications, required

·        At least three (3) years of nursing experience, required

·        At least two (2) years of leadership experience, preferred
