PRIMARY FUNCTION: A member of the health care team who coordinates and performs clerical billing/scheduling duties to enhance the functioning of the Operating Rooms. Schedules procedures, in collaboration with physician's offices and the ED for Christiana and Wilmington campuses, assuring the availability and proper utilization of resources including time, equipment, and personnel for add-on cases. These functions are also performed for elective cases during Centralized Scheduling's off hours in addition to holidays. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs billing functions for the Operating Room, Post-Op Recovery, Anesthesia, GI Lab, and Surgical Procedure Unit within tight billing deadlines.
