AIM Specialty Health engages practicing, Board-certified, physicians to serve as panelists in the development and review of the AIM Clinical Appropriateness Guidelines.  Panelists will have demonstrated knowledge and clinical expertise of the topical area.  AIM Panels are multidisciplinary and balanced in terms of geographic dispersion, representation from a wide variety of primary care and specialty physicians and physician practice settings such as community practice and academic medical centers.  Typical time commitment is approximately 10 hours per year. 

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

• Review of AIM proprietary Clinical Appropriateness Guidelines as they relate to the care of patients in accordance with current evidence-based medical practices and standards of care
• Examine synthesized medical evidence to inform their input on AIM guidelines criteria
• Provide clinical guidance and expert opinion on guideline criteria, emerging technologies, challenging clinical scenarios and evidence interpretation.
• Assist with drafting or modifying Guidelines through participation in conference call discussions periodically throughout the year.
• Assist with other projects at the discretion of the panelist.

Requires: 

MD or DO and active state licensure, Board certification in a medical specialty, must be in active clinical practice and at least 5 years of clinical experience preferred.
